very pleasant experience. It arrived as promised - just plug it in and you are on your way. I purchased this model for 2 features: the sensor buttons and the inverter defrost button. an unexpected feature was the "keep warm" button. Cooked food or left overs can be kept warm for up to 30 minutes. A great feature. I am very satisfied with this unit and would recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful product, works great, so many options, cooks in almost half the time of standard microwave, great for popcorn, easy to use, good instruction booklet, so we are very happy with product!
I chose it for its dimensions

I chose this microwave because its dimensions are smaller than Sharp's microwaves of similar capacity (I have to fit it on a shelf). I bought it from Amazon for its free-shipping offer because I wanted it shipped directly to my work place, and I'd prefer dealing with Amazon rather than an unknown seller on its web site. It's a spanking white microwave and works well as one would expect from Panasonic. It has been almost a month and nothing to complain about.
Speed Demon

I can't believe how quickly food cooks in this microwave. The 1300 watt supply is a significant improvement over the 1100 watts in other comparable models. Instead of just using this to re-heat food, I'm using it to cook meals from scratch - a milestone for this 'basics only' chef. The turntable is great - so far, everything has been cooked evenly - no 'cold' centers.
Swiss watch of microwaves

Got myself this new microwave:
which I was very carefully choosing at Best Buy
based on my taste and understanding alone.
It was so nice to open the Internet and see that it's even
the same price on Amazon, and has all spanking good
reviews. They are true: powerful, fast, great advanced
features like sensor and weight-based defrost. Also compact,
lightweight and quiet for a change!
I thought I earlier had a pretty good microwave: Sharp R-440DW
with a touch screen. But this one just blows your mind. It's like
Swiss watch of microwaves. The controls and instructions
are friendly and natural to use.
On my way home I drove to a store and got a whole
bunch of frozen and other foods. What I do all evening
is cooking, reheating and eating. I just need to
take a break now, to catch some breath. It is so addictive.
Wow!
Regarding reported negatives, people just don't understand
that it's a powerful almost industrial machine, so it will
sure leave micro-cracks on flimsy dishware and as any other
one needs regular cleaning or it will burn in the lavishly agitated
food vapor--it's elementary thermodynamics. So keep it down
a couple of notches for tender stuff.
To avoid counter-top sliding, move it all the way against the
wall and run the cord under the back hump.
Regarding breakdowns, there are no perfect products,
the Sharp, died of a power blackout. This one hopefully has
better parts for the price and brand reputation.
I hope not to be disappointed and wish you the same. |
