Wonderful microwave

Review Date: October 28, 2009

This is a wonderful microwave that I purchased to replace a Sharp that just quit suddenly. I like the powerful quick cooking and it does a great job with popcorn. The door release/open button has to be pressed kind of hard for the door to open but that may be because it is so new. I love this microwave and all it's features!
It does as Advertised

I did considerable research on all similar models that I was interested in, and selected the panasonic because it had the features I liked. In paticular I liked the inverter defrost feature function and it performs as advertised. It is quiet, well made, easy to clean, was reasonable in cost and, so far, has not given cause for complaint. If there is a small issue, it is that the led display is not easy to read readily for a tall person, requiring a slight bending of the knees or a slight stoop of the head to read it clearly. The warming feature is handy in assembling a meal and having all items warm at the same. Displayed time to cook/heat items could be expanded for novice cooks but that is an individual learning issue. All the functions are performing as claimed. The one issue I do not know yet is how LONG it will perform. My previous microwave gave good service for 12 years. I will be pleased if this one lasts half that.
Great Microwave

Our family loves this microwave. It is easy to use and does a great job. Our door button is easy to use and opens easily. We don't find the display hard to read at all. The sensor cook is a great invention.
A satisfied customer.

Reviewer: Lori J. Woodley,
I was a little hesitant to buy this microwave because of some negative feedback about it's display. My fears were put to rest. It might be that I'm not very tall and therefore am at a good viewing angle, but I have no trouble reading the display. I haven't used all of its features, but the ones that I have used work well. It's an attractive microwave and I like the size of it. Over all, I'm satisfied!
Strong. Fast. Compact. Great!

Reviewer: A. Smola,
I purchased this microwave due to its power to size ratio. That is, we wanted a powerful microwave that did not take up a lot of space. For daily use it's plenty big, it looks nice. And yes, it is easy to use. All you need to do is spend 5 minutes looking at the manual to find out about all the various options and programs that it has.

About the time display. Well, it's VERY readable if it is positioned within about one foot of eye level. That is, look at it from 2 feet above or below and you won't see anything. But at eye level it's wonderfully visible. Even at large lateral angles (i.e. looking at it from almost the side). The door is fine - yes, don't try to karate chop it and expect the microwave to stay still. It won't since it is small and light. But it works perfectly fine with just the right amount of force.

As for it's power. It's good. The user interface is good. A great microwave. I'd buy it again.
